Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at River Forest Medical Campus. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography services, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and collaborating with our healthcare team to provide exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography diagnostic services according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Position, immobilize, and prepare patients for studies, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Formulate questions to determine patient history and develop a plan of care for each individual.
  • Evaluate scan results for consistent technical quality and prepare examination rooms according to department guidelines.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and equipment for the function of the work area and initiate work and supply orders.
  • Schedule patients and provide age-appropriate explanations of procedures and preparation.
  • Document data on appropriate forms and enter information into the computer.
  • Ensure the safety of patients, coworkers, and property, including the safekeeping and maintenance of confidential information.
Requirements
  • Completion of an Allied Health Education and AMA-approved program in Radiology.
  • Current ARRT, Mammography Certification, and IDNS licensure (or Registry Eligible with certification within one year of hire).
  • One year full-time general radiology and one year mammography experience, or related work scope.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle information in a sensitive and tactful manner.
