Job Title: Lead, Subcontracts

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontracts Lead to manage all stages of the subcontract lifecycle, from sourcing strategy to subcontractor performance and contract closeout. This role requires 7+ years of experience with at least 5 years in the aerospace and defense industry. Strong knowledge of FAR/DFAR, advanced subcontract management, and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and program teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage subcontract requirements, statements of work (SOWs), and perform cost, schedule, and risk management for subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR and lead government proposals, subcontract negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Support new business development efforts, including nondisclosure and teaming agreements, and assist with technical and financial due diligence on potential suppliers.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, and quality teams to maintain subcontract alignment with program goals and execute risk management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of experience. (In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of related experience)
  • Minimum 5 years in aerospace/defense industry
  • Advanced knowledge of FAR/DFAR, contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF), and subcontractor management
  • Proficiency in subcontracting processes and documentation, cost/benefit analysis, and SOW development
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD Clearance
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
