Role Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to patients across various healthcare environments. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and delivering direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient call signals; assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming; deliver meals; help patients with mobility; and transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse; document patient care accurately; and assist in emergency situations as needed.
- Support nursing staff by performing assigned tasks and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including those set by federal, state, and local authorities.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and common areas.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
Required Skills:
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on conveying sensitive information with empathy.
- Capacity to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and infection control protocols.
- Experience in assisting with patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Ability to document patient progress and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
