Healthcare Admissions Specialist

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a skilled Healthcare Admissions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for reviewing prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate contact with prospective patients and their families to gather required clinical and demographic data.
Respond promptly to inquiry calls and schedule assessments as needed.
Conduct pre-admission assessments to determine the best course of treatment for our patients.
Assist prospective patients and their families in seeking treatment and provide information about our services.
Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for our facility's assistance or admission.
Coordinate with referral sources and transportation arrangements for patients as needed.
Maintain all documentation involved with the admissions process.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, with a college degree preferred.
One year of experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Intermediate level of planning and organizing, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Advanced level of customer focus, with a commitment to providing exceptional service to our patients and their families.
Intermediate level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and dedicated individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to our patients.
Ability to maintain a high level of motivation and productivity, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
