About the Role

Abnormal Security is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and deploying the foundations of our analytics stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients of Data Engineering to design and maintain reliable data models and visualizations.
  • Optimize data warehousing processes by enhancing existing data models, building net new models, and implementing best practices for data quality testing.
  • Empower end users throughout the company to independently explore and answer data-related questions using well-organized and intuitive datasets.
  • Implement cataloging and documentation best practices to raise data literacy and adoption of our data products across the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in SQL and advanced knowledge of at least one scripting or statistical programming language (Python, R).
  • Strong understanding of analytical data-warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to write clear documentation and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical users.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, unblock, flag risks, and push progress forward.
  • Experience working in relational data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
  • Experience with data transformation tools such as DBT, DLT, or SQLMesh.
  • Experience with Extract and Load tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, or custom Python scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Finance or Sales and Marketing Analytics related experience.

Base salary range: $178,500—$210,000 USD
