Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students, aiding in their academic and social development through effective communication interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Create and implement individualized education programs for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Speech and Language Therapy: Provide speech and language therapy to students individually or in groups, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective communication strategies and interventions.
  • Record Keeping and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student evaluations, progress, and treatment plans.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: Maine state license in Speech-Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience: Experience working with students with speech and language disorders in a school setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and understanding of special education regulations.
