Job Summary:The Registered Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavioral interventions and support students in achieving their goals. This is a full-time position available in Little Miami, Lebanon, and Franklin School Districts.
Responsibilities:- Implement behavioral interventions and support students in achieving their goals
- Work under the supervision of a BCBA to develop and implement behavioral plans
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and team meetings as requested
- Maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of behavioral interventions and special education
- One or more years of experience working with students with intensive behavioral needs
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of district staff, students, parents, and the general public
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and plans
- Ability to work with students, staff, and parents as a team member
- Computer expertise appropriate to position
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ohio educational aide certificate
- Ability to physically manage students with disabilities
- Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
- Ability to maneuver stairs unassisted
- Pass criminal background check
The Registered Behavior Technician will work in a school setting and may be exposed to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue. The position may also require operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions and interaction with unruly children.
