Job Description

As a Systems Engineer (MCiS) at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), you will play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge solutions to complex problems at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for engineering projects, ensuring current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.
  • Perform complex systems development and design work, including logic design, I/O design, firmware development, and analog or digital systems engineering.
  • Invent innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency and participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
  • Develop and conduct tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements, identify, analyze, and resolve system problems, and determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals, provide system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance, and participate in special projects as required.
Requirements
  • BS/BA or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience of 10+ years.
  • Advanced understanding and extensive practical experience with Army Command and Control Systems, specifically AFATDS, TAIS, and AMDWS, and comprehensive understanding on the integration of C2 systems with tactical and simulation networks.
  • Integrating C2 systems in support of a simulation-driven exercise, ability to assist customers with defining training objectives, and professional certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD Approved RMF Baseline Certifications.
  • SECRET clearance is required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.

Work Environment

On-site at the customer location, with 10-25% travel required.
