Job Title: Custom Silicon Architect

At Apple, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in camera technology. We're seeking a talented Custom Silicon Architect to join our Camera Hardware Engineering group. As a key member of our team, you'll design and develop custom integrated circuits that enable the next generation of camera systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define IC engineering requirements
  • Drive vendors from requirement to delivery throughout the entire development process
  • Review and provide vendor verification plan/results
  • Review and provide guidance for internal validation plan/results
  • Develop emulation platforms with discrete design or FPGA
  • Provide IC-specific and broad electrical engineering support to camera HW and cross-functional teams
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of EE fundamentals
  • Past experience in working on real-life applications of ICs down to their specifications
  • Analog/mixed signal IC development experience, especially in low power/low noise sensing and signal processing
  • Understanding of board level design/constraints, power assessment, and analysis
  • Optimizing designs across multiple disciplines, including Hardware/Firmware design partitioning, trade-off assessments, design checking, and tolerance analysis
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with MATLAB, Verilog, or similar simulation, design, and modeling tools
  • Track record of IC development from design to large volume production ramp-up
  • Past experience of independence in designing complex systems
