Job Summary

A Driver-CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services to customers. This role requires a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in compliance with safety standards.
  • Safely operate the collection truck along designated routes and to disposal sites.
  • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.
  • Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor, and dispose of collected material at designated facilities.
  • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth.
  • Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
