The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst - Nutrition Education, you will be responsible for providing oversight and guidance for the maintenance of the nutrition education related features of the Texas Management Information System (MIS) and the WIC client portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert (SME): Serve as the SME for the nutrition education related WIC MIS and WIC client portal features, making decisions based on user feedback and business requirements.
- Requirements Development: Oversee the development and review of complex requirements, project deliverables, design document plans, and comments for vendor application partners.
- Project Implementation: Lead and participate in the planning, development, and implementation of nutrition education related WIC MIS and WIC client portal features.
- Training and Support: Develop training curriculum and conduct training sessions to State Agency SMEs and WIC local agency staff related to nutrition education features of the WIC MIS and WIC client portal.
- User Interface and Usability Testing: Oversee user interface and usability testing of the nutrition education components of the WIC MIS and WIC client portal.
Requirements:
- Knowledge: Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws relating to the WIC program, business and management principles involved in strategic planning, and public health nutrition.
- Skills: Skill in organizational skills, use of word processing equipment and software, analyzing and evaluating complex information technology applications, policies, and issues, developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems and issues.
- Abilities: Ability to analyze and interpret technical information, exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions, supervise the work of others, work independently and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, organize, prepare, and lead team meetings with various levels of leadership.
