We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the Atlanta Fibroid Center. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, with a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our team of physicians and medical staff, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:- Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing collection of data based on individual needs and condition.
- Collaborate with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.
- Perform appropriate treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in an appropriate and timely fashion.
- Provide individualized patient and family teaching.
- Document patient assessments, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions.
- Initiate emergency measures according to adult and patient resuscitation protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility, and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness to that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
- Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift, as needed based on individualized patient assessment.
- Maintain competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state-specific requirements.
- Comply with accepted ethical conduct and professional Standards of Nursing Practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent national organization.
- Demonstrate ability to delegate effectively and appropriately.
- Current Georgia Registered Nurse/RN License (meeting requirements of education from an accredited program/school of nursing).
- Maintains RN certification and licensure as required by the State of Georgia.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support/ACLS and Basic Life Support/BLS certification from either an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association/AHA or the American Red Cross.
- Ability to perform standard nursing skills, including starting an IV and administering injections.
- Minimum of one year paid Registered Nurse/RN work experience within the past year of direct patient care in a hospital. At least 1 year Critical Care experience (ICU, CCU, or ER).
- Shows an extremely positive attitude and a servant's heart for caring for people.
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills.
- Provides a knowledge and experience with modern office procedures and equipment and medical terminology. Practice management software experience required and EMR experience and/or willingness to learn. Possess accurate data entry skills and understands patient quality programs.
- Practices the tact to deal effectively with patients, physicians, and other group employees in a thoughtful and courteous manner and thrive in a team environment.
- Performs tasks in a very positive, efficient, and courteous manner, displaying empathy to assure that each patient is treated with the highest degree of compassion, caring, and professionalism while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Atlanta Fibroid Center operates Monday through Friday. Our office is open from Monday through Friday only, with holidays off. There is no requirement to work nights, weekends, or holidays.
