Job Title: Full-time RN, PACU Outpatient M-F

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Atlanta Fibroid Center. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing uterine fibroid treatments.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a focus on critical care and interventional radiology. You will work closely with our team of physicians and medical staff to provide individualized patient care, prioritize patient needs, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on patient needs and condition.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
  • Perform appropriate treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide individualized patient and family teaching, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans and care.
  • Document patient assessments, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions.
  • Initiate emergency measures according to adult and patient resuscitation protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility, and staff in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner, considering cultural diversity and age appropriateness.
  • Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift, as needed based on individualized patient assessment.
  • Maintain competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state-specific requirements.
  • Comply with accepted ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent national organization.
  • Demonstrate ability to delegate effectively and appropriately.
Requirements:
  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse/RN License (meeting requirements of education from an accredited program/school of nursing).
  • Maintains RN certification and licensure as required by the State of Georgia.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support/ACLS and Basic Life Support/BLS certification from either an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association/AHA or the American Red Cross.
  • Ability to perform standard nursing skills, including starting an IV and administering injections.
  • Minimum of one year paid Registered Nurse/RN work experience within the past year of direct patient care in a hospital. At least 1 year Critical Care experience (ICU, CCU, or ER).
  • Shows an extremely positive attitude and a servant's heart for caring for people.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Provides a knowledge and experience with modern office procedures and equipment and medical terminology. Practice management software experience required and EMR experience and/or willingness to learn. Possess accurate data entry skills and understands patient quality programs.
  • Practices the tact to deal effectively with patients, physicians, and other group employees in a thoughtful and courteous manner and thrive in a team environment.
  • Performs tasks in a very positive, efficient, and courteous manner, displaying empathy to assure that each patient is treated with the highest degree of compassion, caring, and professionalism while maintaining strict confidentiality.
