This is a per diem role that requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. As a Per Diem Physical Therapist, you will report to the Clinical Supervisor, Physical Therapy and provide both direct and indirect patient care services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered physical therapy services for the community
- Work with adult and geriatric patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health provider team
- Document patient care services using electronic medical records
- Meet the requirements for licensure as a Physical Therapist with the California State Board of Medical Quality Assurance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to recognize signs of distress
- Basic computer skills in word processing and online communication
- Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, and self-initiation skills
- Possession of or proven eligibility for CPR certification
- Minimum of one year outpatient patient care experience
- Prior physical therapy experience in an academic medical center environment
- Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary health provider team
- Possession of a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited professional educational program
- Possession of a Board Certification from the APTA
