Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the operation of all storerooms, ensuring the efficient distribution of inventoried materials and maintenance of District spare parts inventories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise storeroom operations, directing the ordering, receiving, handling, storage, and dispersal of materials, spare parts, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement optimum storeroom operating plans, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate inventories and efficient operations.
  • Direct inventory identification methods, parts forecasting, and reporting procedures to ensure accurate inventories.
  • Assist plant management in planning and scheduling spare parts inventories for work orders and manage online requisitioning procedures.
  • Assign, supervise, and review work, ensuring staff compliance with District policies and procedures.
Requirements

Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university majoring in business or public administration or a related field and six years of experience in large-scale computerized inventory control, storekeeping, warehousing, or purchasing administration, including two years in a supervisory capacity.

Additional experience in large-scale computerized inventory control, storekeeping, or warehouse work may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Civil service status in one of the foregoing classifications is also required.
