Job Summary

The Part-time Communications Officer will be responsible for responding promptly to calls for service, communicating effectively with all members of the campus community, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls for service, including alarms, emergencies, and other incidents, in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with all members of the campus community, including students, employees, and visitors
  • Complete communication logs, including radio/telephone log and vehicle use log
  • Distribute keys and return them to the key cabinet
  • Assist local law enforcement, fire, and other emergency service agencies as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
