Job Summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our Clinical Decision Unit team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team.
  • Assist with medication administration, including preparing and delivering medications to patients.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones, taking messages, and maintaining patient records.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
