Grassroots Carbon is a pioneering company in grasslands restoration and soil carbon sequestration, dedicated to empowering U.S. ranchers to adopt regenerative land management practices. Our mission is to enhance soil health and promote biodiversity while combating climate change by capturing significant amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide in the soil. Through our carbon credit program, ranchers can access new revenue streams. With over 41 percent of U.S. grasslands utilized for grazing, we recognize the immense potential of these lands to sequester at least 500 million metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. We are committed to transforming millions of acres of degraded grasslands into vibrant ecosystems that effectively sequester carbon. About the Graphic Designer Role:

We are in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Graphic Designer with a strong blend of technical and creative abilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the Grassroots Carbon brand and business by producing captivating content for various digital marketing platforms, including social media, websites, and email, as well as traditional marketing channels such as events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Grassroots Carbon Leadership team to develop effective marketing communications that establish a cohesive brand voice and visual identity.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in social media and digital marketing, adapting graphic design for both online and offline formats.
  • Maintain excellent organization and communication skills to work effectively with leadership and team members across the organization.
  • Create high-quality graphics, infographics, and other visual content, including motion graphics, to support marketing and communication strategies.
  • Compose engaging and impactful copy for social media, website content, email campaigns, and event promotions.
  • Assist in managing and organizing digital assets, including images, videos, and design files.
  • Provide support for various marketing and communication tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • A drive for excellence, passion, and a positive attitude, with 3+ years of experience in delivering top-notch design across various mediums.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and an interest in leveraging AI tools for marketing efficiencies.
  • Strong creative and visual storytelling abilities, with copywriting skills adaptable to different platforms and audiences.
  • A commitment to the craft, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, coupled with strong communication abilities.
  • A collaborative spirit and willingness to go above and beyond.
  • A passion for contributing to the regenerative movement.
  • A basic understanding of soil carbon storage and regenerative land management practices is beneficial, but can be learned on the job if there is a genuine interest in aligning with a purpose-driven organization.
  • Experience in a startup environment is preferred but not mandatory; adaptability to a fast-paced, high-growth company is essential.
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative office environment.
