$26.01 per hour (daily pay available)

Job Description

The Radiology Tech PRN is responsible for taking x-rays of designated body parts to assist in diagnostics and providing support for the imaging department. Key responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, and maintaining imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provides appropriate educational material
  • Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures
  • Assists technologists with preparing patients for radiology exams by positioning them for the procedure
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent unnecessary exposure
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Observes patients during procedures and reports abnormal activity, monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted
Requirements:
  • Completion of a radiology certification program
  • No experience required
