Position Summary
This role, operating under general supervision and established protocols, is responsible for overseeing environmental service aides in executing the cleaning services of the hospital and associated facilities. The position entails coordinating these activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure 24/7 operational effectiveness of environmental services staff, performing both cleaning and project tasks as a working supervisor.
- Monitor and guide environmental services personnel to maintain a safe, clean, and operationally efficient environment.
- Supervise and direct Environmental Services Aides to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in assigned areas.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in housekeeping, preferably in healthcare or hospitality settings.

Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in computer applications and data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of floor care and cleaning techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Duties
- Allocate personnel, equipment, and supplies efficiently to maximize resource utilization in housekeeping operations.
- Coordinate, schedule, and conduct training for staff to meet performance standards and enhance teamwork.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly, ensuring service recovery and follow-up.

Physical Demands
This position requires light work, involving the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. The role may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous materials, necessitating adherence to safety protocols.
