EVS Team Lead

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced EVS Team Lead - Housekeeping to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Environmental Services Aides in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our hospital interior and related properties.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead a team of Environmental Services Aides to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained.
- Assign personnel, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping operations.
- Coordinate and conduct employee training and development to meet established performance standards and customer service criteria.
- Respond promptly to defects, deficiencies, and customer complaints, and follow through on service recovery and resolution.
- Exhibit flexibility in scheduling and staffing practices to accommodate the needs of our units.
- Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of our patient population, including respect for patient privacy and communication style.
- 1 year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or hotel setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Basic knowledge of floor care and ability to operate Environmental Services equipment.
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
The incumbent will work in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
