Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee assigned accounts requiring continuous evaluation of financial statements and periodic corporate valuations.

  • Assess asset liquidations and credit cycles to identify and analyze credit issues, articulating lessons learned without alienating business partners.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulations and represent the organization in discussions with auditors on pertinent issues.
  • Evaluate risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and uphold the organization's reputation.
  • Develop and present action plans for the assigned portfolio to senior management or third parties.
  • Conduct routine reviews of accounts to monitor progress against action plans and address any arising customer service issues.
  • Inform risk management partners about the status of workout plans and potential risks.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • 5-10 years of experience in credit analysis, corporate finance, or banking, particularly with classified or distressed corporate loans.
  • A proactive mindset, inquisitive nature, and the ability to work independently while tackling complex issues.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements for both public and private entities.
  • Experience with various valuation techniques, especially Discounted Cash Flow (DCF).
  • Familiarity with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present arguments clearly.
  • Proficiency in Excel for advanced financial modeling.
  • Ability to collect information from third-party individuals efficiently and respectfully.

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Bloomberg and/or Factset.
  • Knowledge of Excel VBA and Macros.
  • Understanding of litigation and restructuring laws.
  • Basic knowledge of collateral analysis, including real estate appraisals and asset searches.
  • Strategic negotiation and implementation skills.
  • Familiarity with organizational policies and systems.
  • Ability to evaluate alternative transactions and identify associated risks.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is advantageous.
