Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining a clean and sterile environment for medical equipment and instruments.

Responsibilities

* Decontaminate and clean medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines
* Perform visual inspections of instruments and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
* Sterilize instruments and equipment using various methods, including autoclaving and dry heat sterilization
* Document work performed using instrument tracking software and paper documentation as required
* Work independently with minimal supervision, using critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to resolve issues

Requirements

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Within 1 year of hire, obtain certification as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
