Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at DSV A/S. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating power industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations, input data accurately into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and maintain an organized work area.
  • Order Picking: Pull and prepare for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped, perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards, and prepare freight for operations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, and report quality variances.
  • Delivery: Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks, and ensure proper documentation accompanies freight.
  • Inventory Management: Keep accurate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security, and assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, and assist in security of the warehouse, and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies.
Requirements
  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations: Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Basic computer skills, RF Scanners, WMS functions, English (reading, writing, verbal), and basic to intermediate level mathematical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment, and 1-2 years forklift experience.
  • Certifications: Current or prior MHE certification.
Physical Demands

The Forklift Operator will be required to occasionally handle/finger, sit, and frequently bend. The ability to lift/carry and push/pull 21-50 pounds is also required.
