We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Developer to join our team at Spectrum. As a key member of our Product and Technology team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing data engineering solutions that support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop data engineering functions, including data extract, transformation, loading, and integration, to support enterprise data infrastructures, data warehouses, operational data stores, and master data management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data solutions that meet those needs.
- Develop and maintain data models, data structures, and data movement infrastructures to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Lead the implementation of data services and data movement infrastructures, including database concepts and practices.
- Partner with the Insights team to design, implement, and support end-to-end data solutions across multiple platforms, environments, domains, and locations.
- Develop ETL processes, programs, and solutions as per established standards.
- Monitor and administer automated and manual data integration and ETL jobs to verify execution and measure performance.
- Lead internal staff, vendors, consultants, and external partners to quickly identify and resolve data integration and ETL job issues.
- Assist stakeholders in defining requirements for data capture that answer business questions and outcomes.
- 5+ years of experience in ETL, SQL, Shell Script, Python, JSON, data integration, and data visualization.
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, building use cases, and providing development support to data scientists and data engineers.
- Experience with data lake, building out data sets for use cases, and querying and designing efficient warehousing structures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of data access methods from relational databases using SQL, web services (WSDL Soap, Restful), and FTP/sFTP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
