The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Medical Surgical, Oncology, Telemetry, Orthopedic Department as directed by nursing management. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Education: Graduate of a professional accredited nursing school required.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years inpatient Medical Surgical experience preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification: Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
- Skills: Basic nursing skills, communication skills, assessment skills, critical thinking skills, organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, computer skills, ability to read, write and communicate in English, ability to maintain confidential information.
