Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse I is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the inpatient rehab setting. This role requires 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab nursing and the ability to float between the Tulsa and Muskogee campuses.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to care for patients
  • Assess, organize, and complete patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors
  • Document steps of the nursing process
  • Address problems and progress toward goals
  • Facilitate patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources
  • Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate
Requirements
  • Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License
  • 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab nursing
  • Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner
Working Relationship

The Clinical Nurse I will work directly with patients and/or customers, as well as other healthcare professionals and staff. This role requires input on performance evaluations but does not prepare or give them.
