Finance Manager Job Description

A leading global capital industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in the Louisville, KY office. This role will report to the Finance Director and be responsible for managing a team of six, supporting multiple brands, and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators, forecasts, and budgets, providing site reporting and assistance to support business decisions.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP, Excel, and other systems to analyze financial data, identify trends, and inform strategic planning.
  • Ensure SOX compliance, reviewing and testing internal controls to maintain a strong control environment.
  • Oversee the sales administration function, managing the sales and inventory pipeline, order processing, and sales compliance.
  • Prepare month-end inventory and order backlog reports, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support the Finance Director with various projects and ad hoc reporting, leveraging advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role at a large manufacturing corporation.
  • Strong working knowledge of internal control processes and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A problem solver with a natural curiosity and ability to think critically.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
  • Up to 15% annual travel, including international assignments.
