We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specimen Processing Group Lead to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. As a key member of our Specimen Processing department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Specimen Technicians and assisting department supervisors with various activities.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule coordination and general supervision of Specimen Technicians
- Providing input to supervisors for performance review and disciplinary action
- Leading employees, participating in process and compliance audits, and performing duties as assigned
- Assisting in proper test selection and problem resolution
- Answering employee questions and providing feedback to supervisors
- Completing shift paperwork, setting up for production, and ensuring staff has cleaned up at the end of the shift
- Monitoring supply inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Repairing and maintaining department equipment
- Assisting in training, cross-training, and department auditing functions
- Internal candidates: minimum of one year in SPT III/related role
- Preferred experience: 3 years in a laboratory environment with Specimen Processing experience
- Medical background preferred with medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory
