We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.
About the PositionThe Department of Psychiatry is looking for a fixed-term open rank faculty member to provide inpatient clinical assessments and treatment plans. The successful candidate will work virtually, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the mental well-being and recovery of patients at Jonas Hills Hospital.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient clinical assessments and treatment plans
- Teach and supervise fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees from various disciplines
- Work virtually, providing psychiatric care to inpatient individuals via the EPIC platform
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EPIC) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Applicants must have an MD or DO, be BC/BE, and be eligible for North Carolina licensure. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from various disciplines. Candidates should have clinical experience working with severe and persistently mentally ill patients and substance-using patients.
