We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.

About the Position

The Department of Psychiatry is looking for a fixed-term open rank faculty member to provide inpatient clinical assessments and treatment plans. The successful candidate will work virtually, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the mental well-being and recovery of patients at Jonas Hills Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient clinical assessments and treatment plans
  • Teach and supervise fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees from various disciplines
  • Work virtually, providing psychiatric care to inpatient individuals via the EPIC platform
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EPIC) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Requirements

Applicants must have an MD or DO, be BC/BE, and be eligible for North Carolina licensure. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from various disciplines. Candidates should have clinical experience working with severe and persistently mentally ill patients and substance-using patients.
