Your Role:

As the Director of Business Development, you will be instrumental in steering the sales strategy, cultivating new business opportunities, and positioning SHR as a frontrunner in the hospitality sector. Your extensive knowledge of the hotel distribution landscape and a proven history of surpassing sales objectives will be vital in identifying growth opportunities, crafting strategic sales initiatives, and nurturing robust client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales cycle from identifying targeted accounts to securing strategic deals within your designated region.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to establish a strong pipeline of qualified sales leads.
  • Surpass annual new business sales targets across your assigned territory and prospect accounts.
  • Identify and engage major revenue-generating independent hotels and hotel groups within your area.
  • Work alongside fellow Sales Directors to enhance team performance.
  • Clarify integration and delivery requirements, establishing timelines for successful project execution.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies that align with business growth objectives.
  • Engage potential clients by showcasing SHR's solutions, maintaining a continuous pipeline of opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for targeted accounts, managing all pipeline activities using Salesforce CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with the broader sales team to devise effective sales strategies and share successful practices.
  • Oversee the contract negotiation process with prospective clients.
  • Champion technological advancements and adoption, continually enhancing your technical expertise.
  • Translate client requirements into actionable business deliverables, working closely with engineering teams to define timelines and specifications.
  • Facilitate the Request for Proposal (RFP) processes essential for achieving successful sales outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in SaaS sales.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel and travel industry, particularly within the technology sector.
  • Experience with electronic distribution systems (CRS, IBE), revenue management systems (RMS), and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Proven B2B sales experience.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation capabilities.

Compensation Transparency:

The target annual base salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $90,000, complemented by additional On Target Earnings. In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a variety of other benefits.
