POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Scheduler is accountable for the management, creation, and upkeep of designated project timelines. This role involves the administration of scheduling files and the dissemination of schedules and resource plans as necessary. The Lead Scheduler will also oversee the configuration of Earned Value Management (EVM) data within the assigned project timelines as needed. Furthermore, this position is responsible for the standardization of schedules and EVM data in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Scheduling Manager and Master Scheduler.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Enforce compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of project timelines.
- Assist in the creation and upkeep of master schedules for work centers.
- Support and maintain supplemental schedules that align with the projects.
- Formulate and sustain long-term production resource plans.
- Comply with scheduling and resource planning standards.
- Generate and manage schedule-related EVM data and documentation.
- Directly oversee the work of assigned Project Scheduler(s).
- Aid in the development and maintenance of EVM-related data and documents.
- Facilitate communication internally and externally to address information requests from customers and stakeholders.
This role directly supervises 1 to 3 employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in alignment with the company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities encompass interviewing, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving complaints and issues. Demonstrates leadership qualities that resonate with the mission, vision, and values of the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, an Associate's degree with at least four (4) years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of one year of supervisory experience is required, or at least three years of progressive responsibility within a Planning department.
- Experience in a complex, multi-product, build-to-order production environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and network scheduling software (e.g., Primavera) is preferred.
- Knowledge of EVM principles is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in both office and industrial settings.
- Preferred knowledge of shipbuilding workflows, material flows, and production processes.
- Preferred understanding of Navy and Coast Guard scheduling and performance reporting requirements.
