The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Synopsys. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our PCBA and unit-level assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and develop manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to optimize equipment layout and workflow.
  • Provide decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
  • Assist R&D and contract manufacturers with prototype builds, including surface mount, wave, post-solder operations, and quality control.
  • Prepare product and method reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Work hands-on with manufacturing assembly to define, monitor, and improve operational activities and outputs.
  • Review defects to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Audit shop floor documentation, assembly instructions, and special instructions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or a similar role.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and strong mathematical skills, including statistics.
  • Proficiency in programming and operating CAD software tools.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in the PCBA manufacturing process.
