Material Handler II

Dover Food Retail is a leading manufacturer of innovative solutions for the food retail industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler II to join our team in South Chesterfield, VA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and safely loading and unloading materials, maintaining the flow of materials to ensure all aspects of the company's needs are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and inspecting incoming materials, parts, and packages from various suppliers and means of delivery
  • Unpacking, examining, and routing incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items and recording shortages
  • Delivering paperwork to data entry for input
  • Ordering materials from warehouse or storage areas via ERP system for production lines
  • Loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or using a forklift
  • Conveying materials from storage or worksite to designated areas using a forklift
  • Attaching identifying tags or labels to materials or marking information on cases or containers
  • Stacking or assembling materials into bundles and banding them together
  • Operating industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products

Requirements include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of forklift experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull cases in excess of 200lbs to 800lbs repetitively
