Job Summary:
The Appearance Development Specialist will contribute to the development of functioning prototypes for ATV/SxS vehicles by researching and applying new technologies. This role involves creating basic component and system layouts using computer-aided design software, communicating specification requirements, and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative designs that achieve concept targets, function requirements, and manufacturing requisites with minimal supervision.
- Develop plans and schedules to ensure deadlines are met and coordinate resource needs with supervisor.
- Analyze root causes of problems and develop C/M specs as necessary.
- Support market quality themes and utilize problem-solving methods to improve product development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Powersports or Automotive field desired.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with staff and management.
- Competent in FTA, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-ups, and CAE principles.
Working Conditions:
- Travel: Average of 1-3 times monthly, including possible overseas travel.
- Physical demands: Primarily works at a desk, frequent keyboarding, limited kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching, or bending.
- Hazards: Risks found in a typical office and shop setting.
