Samaritan Medical Center is a 290-bed hospital serving the Northern New York region. Our medical staff of 180 physicians represents 42 specialties, making us the largest community-based hospital in the area.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a highly competitive compensation package, including an annual salary guarantee of $685,000, a signing bonus of $100,000, education loan repayment of up to $20,000 per year, and relocation expense reimbursement of up to $20,000. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package and a call schedule of 1:4 with additional pay for extended coverage.
About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join our growing practice. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside three other surgeons and three Physician Assistants in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our hospital is a Level III trauma center, and we handle bread-and-butter orthopedic cases, while complex injuries are shipped out to specialized centers.
Practice HighlightsOur practice offers dedicated block time in the OR, flip rooms, and access to the latest technology, including a Mako Robot. We serve a catchment area of 250,000 patients and also cater to the nearby Fort Drum community. Teaching opportunities are available through accredited ACGME/AOA programs.
