Radiologic Intervention Specialist

Job Duration: 3+ Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the proceduralist during intricate diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures by scrubbing alongside the specialty proceduralist.
- Possess extensive knowledge of both floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic imaging systems.
- Demonstrate the capability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products throughout interventional procedural cases.
- Exhibit critical thinking skills during neuro-interventional and complex cases to assist the proceduralist effectively.
- Operate power injection devices for iodinated contrast media during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Utilize strong communication skills through closed-loop communication methods.
- Maintain sterile techniques and uphold infection prevention protocols while preparing procedural trays for the case load.
- Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.
- Document accurately in electronic medical records and manage image transfers to Sectra/PACs systems.
- Oversee groin management following interventions.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Hold a BLS certification from an approved AHA credentialed organization or a BLS accreditation with skill demonstration in basic life support measures.
- Possess current licensure and certification with ARRT NJ state.
- This position is akin to that of a cardiovascular technologist (CVT) but requires radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or a Cardiovascular Technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
- BLS certification.
