Aerospace Engineering Manager

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Engineering Team at Recaro Aircraft Seating Americas LLC.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all technical aspects of assigned product lines, including regulatory compliance and OEM requirements.
- Develop and implement customer development programs based on established processes.
- Maintain capacity and training plans for direct report personnel and forecast expansion as needed.
- Oversee the development, documentation, and implementation of Platform Engineering processes.
- Measure effectiveness through Key Performance Indicators and devise corrective action measures.
- Structure team members to ensure clear responsibilities and optimum efficiency.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Analyze and communicate capacity requirements and plan accordingly.
- Ensure process documentation and compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 certification.
- Maintain department and program budgets once approved.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely engineering support and resolve issues.
- Work closely with Sales teams to prepare customer offers and provide engineering support.
- Liaise with airlines, FAA/EASA, installers, and suppliers for project completion.
- Develop tools to track deliverables, testing, and compliance findings.
- Coordinate with Global Engineering management teams to align and optimize departmental processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in the aerospace industry or a Master's degree in a technical field with 6+ years of experience.
- In-depth understanding of FAA/EASA Part 21, Part 25 Certification procedures and (E)TSO process.
- Working knowledge of CAD systems, mechanical design, drafting, and tolerance, electrical engineering, rapid prototyping.
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft documentation systems, dynamic and static testing principles, manufacturing processes, and concurrent engineering principles.
- Leadership skills, team building, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
