About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team at Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing requirements and MBSE models to support the development and integration of software components related to air vehicle subsystems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing architecture models for software components
  • Writing high-level requirements for software components
  • Performing SysML Modeling in MagicDraw/Cameo
  • Generating system functional requirements from stakeholder expectations
  • Validating and verifying system requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working on engineering processes including requirements definition, allocation, validation, verification, integration, embedded software, electronic systems, FAA/EASA/NAA certification, cyber and system safety. Prior experience with DO-297, DO-178, and/or DO-331 process assurance is a plus.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • At least 2 years' work experience in a similar engineering environment
  • Experience in developing or designing within an Avionics Environment
  • Proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., EA Sparx, IBM Rhapsody, Magic Draw), CM tools (e.g., SVN, Clearcase, git, Dimensions)
