About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Automation Engineer-MES to join our team at Solvay. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing substantial capital budgets, directing significant projects, and developing financial forecasts that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and implement AspenTech APEM solutions to meet our business and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APEM with other plant systems such as ERP, LIMS, and PLC/DCS systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for MES configurations, including process models, data mappings, and user interfaces.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal system usage.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve reliability and functionality.
  • Stay updated on the latest AspenTech APEM features and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in MES strategies.
  • Lead and participate in MES project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MES engineering, with specific expertise in AspenTech APEM.
  • Proven track record of successful APEM implementation and optimization projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and integration points for MES systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of AspenTech APEM and its integration with other manufacturing systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
