Security Access Specialist

Work Schedule:
  • Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and report unsafe conditions, procedures, or activities.

• Ensure the health and safety of all personnel through reasonable precautions.

• Assist in processing individuals into secured areas across various locations.

• Conduct random inspections to prevent the introduction of prohibited items into secured facilities.

• Secure designated areas in accordance with post orders or security regulations.

• Monitor surveillance systems, intrusion detection, fire alarms, and dispatch personnel as required.

• Oversee access control by verifying personnel identification and recognizing various government-issued badges.

• Operate and maintain both manual and electronic access control systems, databases, and related equipment.

• Utilize walk-through metal detectors (both fixed and portable), X-ray machines, and other equipment to facilitate pedestrian control.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Must maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security clearance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• This position requires extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, walking up and down stairs, running, and the capability to defend oneself or others if necessary.
