About the Role

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical teams and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments to ensure a smooth patient experience.
  • Assist patients with preparation for physician visits and examinations, as directed.
  • Take vital signs and record them in patient medical charts.
  • Understand and operate special equipment, including EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and Titmus Test.
  • Perform lab testing, such as UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other tests as indicated.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
  • Assist with billing and collections procedures as needed.
  • Utilize computer software to maintain office systems and ensure efficient operations.
  • Identify and respond to confidentiality issues.
  • Deliver patient-centered care that meets the unique needs of our diverse patient population.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
