Job Title: Project Architect

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Architect to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our architecture team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction documents and leading projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Variety: Work on diverse projects including residential, commercial, adaptive reuse, churches, education, and hospitality.
  • Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to determine the functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovations.
  • Design Preparation: Develop detailed information regarding design, specifications, materials, color schemes, equipment, estimated costs, and construction timelines.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare fee proposals and develop time, cost, and staffing budgets for approval by the Department Head.
  • Project Coordination: Direct and coordinate project personnel to ensure timely and budget-compliant project progression.
  • Layout Planning: Plan project layouts and integrate engineering elements into cohesive designs for client review and approval.
  • Documentation: Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
  • Bid Management: Represent the client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
  • Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts and conduct periodic on-site observations to ensure compliance with plans.

Qualifications
  • Proven ability to produce CD sets independently.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent client consultation and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed design and construction documentation.
  • Experience in a variety of project types.
  • Ability to run a project from start to finish.
  • Mentorship and management of junior staff.
  • Strong client consultation skills.
  • Effective coordination of project personnel.
