Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Assistant Controller on accounting and financial functions
  • Compile and review financial data for reporting and accuracy
  • Prepare, evaluate, and support the creation of analyses to support financial/business plans, budget, and forecasts
  • Manage and/or implement related policies, procedures, and controls for both existing and new processes relevant to accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related areas
  • Maintain general ledger, journal integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assure compliance with all company reporting and tax requirements, including accounts with tax agencies regarding unemployment, sales tax, payroll permits, etc.
  • Implement/improve budgeting and forecasting systems and processes
  • Process Payroll
Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in accounting or financial reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A strong familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
  • Analytical, can find meaning in numbers, and be a data-driven decision-maker
  • Excellent communicator: written and oral
