Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the mission and values of Destination Pet.
  • Promote and sell our services and products to potential clients.
  • Conduct tours for prospective customers and visitors.
  • Manage incoming calls and provide accurate information as per established protocols.
  • Greet clients and ensure all pet guests have current vaccination records.
  • Handle cash management, including processing payments and balancing the cash drawer at the end of the day.
  • Communicate company policies to customers in a positive and clear manner.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to a supervisor when necessary.
  • Assist in escorting pets to and from their enclosures and provide necessary care.
  • Utilize the Point-of-Sale system effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby and public areas.
  • Complete required training and participate in ongoing training sessions.
  • Foster a professional and courteous atmosphere for customers, guests, and colleagues.
  • Support fellow associates as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in customer service or retail.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette is required.
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and navigate computer systems.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
  • Comfortable handling dogs on leashes.
  • Willingness to work in an environment with exposure to cleaning agents.
