This role is situated at Luke AFB in Arizona, supporting the F-35 Program.

This position primarily operates on the 2nd shift; however, due to the dynamic nature of flying operations, the individual may be required to work either 1st or 2nd shift and adhere to a non-standard work schedule.

Some travel may be necessary. Due to specific mission requirements, a Top Secret clearance may be mandated in the future.

The individual in this role will function as a Security Generalist (SG), responsible for providing security support for both classified and unclassified areas within the F-35 Academic Training Center (ATC) or Fighter Squadrons.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting instructors, students, and visitors utilizing facilities;
  • Operating badging and access control systems;
  • Monitoring security camera systems;
  • Conducting random entry/exit searches;
  • Enforcing all USAF and local security protocols, as well as DoD Manual Vol 1-4, ICD 705, and TSCO responsibilities;
  • Controlling access to secure facilities;
  • Managing the handling and storage of classified documents and electronic media;
  • Ensuring compliance with COMSEC and COMPUSEC;
  • Providing assistance with file plans and documentation maintenance in classified containers;
  • Changing combinations and generating SF 700s;
  • Assisting in self-inspections and preparing for customer inspections;
  • Performing and documenting vault alarm tests;
  • Assisting in security inquiries;
  • Facilitating training and scheduling vault hours and coverage in designated squadrons or the Academic Training Center (ATC);
  • Undertaking additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Current security clearance investigation within the last 5 years from the investigation close date.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) Access.
Familiarity with classified environments and/or classified materials.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills

Experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment.
Experience in a military setting.
Knowledge of security environments related to the F-35 program.
Experience in delivering briefings and/or training.

Work Schedule

Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules that offer additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules may range from a standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed formats.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington DC is $55,100 - $105,800.
