Job Summary

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with providers, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including health history, current medication list, and allergies, to develop effective care plans.
  • Vital Sign Measurement and Administration: Measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and administer injections or treatments as ordered.
  • Phlebotomy and Laboratory Testing: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and routine in-house laboratory tests to support patient care.
  • Preparation and Maintenance of Treatment Rooms: Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensure cleanliness, and dispose of trash.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Maintain inventory and stock medical supplies and materials to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Patient Flow and Communication: Monitor scheduling systems to maintain consistent patient flow and facilitate communication with patients on test results, clinical advice, prescription refills, and medication compliance.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary team members to provide complete patient care and support specialty-specific procedures/tests.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Experience: Possession of a valid Kansas license as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, with a minimum of two years of nursing experience in an outpatient clinic.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
