Job Title: EEG Technician

At RWJBarnabas Health, we are seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join our team. As an EEG Technician, you will play a critical role in monitoring video EEG patients and identifying seizure activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform neurophysiologic tests, including EEGs and video-EEG initiation, for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Maintain data acquired from these tests.
  • Work closely with physicians to ensure accurate and timely results.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification required.
  • EEG Board registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified in Video Monitoring.
  • Knowledge of neurodiagnostic tests.
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Days.
  • Per Diem.
Essential Functions:
  • Perform EEG tests as requested by physicians.
  • Gather patient medical history, explain testing procedures, and prepare patients for testing.
  • Monitor patient status and note any abnormalities during testing.
  • Report findings to patients' doctors for further analysis.
