Job Title: EEG Technician

We are seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health.

Job Summary:

The EEG Technician will be responsible for performing EEG tests, gathering patient medical history, explaining testing procedures, and preparing patients for the procedure. During testing, the EEG Technician will monitor the patient's status and note any abnormalities. After testing is complete, the EEG Technician will report their findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform EEG tests as requested by physicians
  • Gather patient medical history and explain testing procedures
  • Prepare patients for the procedure and monitor their status during testing
  • Report findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma
  • BLS certification required
  • EEG Board registration
  • Certified in Video Monitoring preferred
  • Knowledge of neurodiagnostic tests preferred
Work Environment:

The EEG Technician will work in a fast-paced medical environment, interacting with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
