Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bakery items for sale, including baking, weighing, and pricing.
  • Ensure product levels, quality, and freshness are consistently maintained.
  • Perform cake decorating duties when requested.
  • Uphold sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, preparation area, and sales floor.
  • Relay customer requests to management effectively.
  • Inform supervisors of any temperature discrepancies.
  • Keep the supply area organized, clean, and tidy at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Execute front-end duties to maintain a standard of 'no noticeable wait.'
  • Announce promotions and sale information over the PA system.
  • Assist with product receiving and storage processes.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and approachable personality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Capability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and information.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to maneuver a loaded grocery cart throughout the shift without assistance.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on a step stool or ladder.
  • Ability to perform repetitive arm and hand motions.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height and horizontally to stock and retrieve products.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in various conditions and temperatures, both wet and dry, for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate box cutters and grocery equipment.
